Do you enjoy visiting your child’s classroom?  Do you have an interest in art?  Can you contribute a few hours of time to your child’s classroom this school year?  If so, please read on! 

Art Masterpiece is a wonderful PTSO-sponsored program that teaches art appreciation in our SRE classrooms using masterpiece paintings (which are beautifully displayed in our main hallway).  Each grade level has its own set of paintings, which are rotated between the classrooms.  Beginning in the spring, volunteers present a lesson once a month in a classroom to spotlight an artist.  The program is very flexible – you can teach just one lesson in your child’s classroom or you can teach many lessons in multiple classrooms. All the materials and training are provided for you!

The goal of the Art Masterpiece program is for children to gain art appreciation and simply enjoy the beauty of the world around them.  Please be sure to sign up at Open House or Curriculum Night. You can also contact Kathy Clark or Kathleen Mathieson, below.
